"We have Jeepers Creepers at home."

Twisters essentially copy-pastes the plot of Twister, but with worse acting and plot points. Not that the first film shined in these areas much, but at least some of the characters were interesting and quirky enough to maintain an audience. Twisters has a scene where emergency services calls a curfew in a neighborhood. Here comes the greatest reveal of how low quality this film is: The town has no houses remaining as they were destroyed moments ago by the underwhelming tornado (contrary to popular opinions, the effects were bland). Curfew. Without shelter. Can't have curfew if housing doesn't exist. Juxtaposition to a rodeo and cliché lines about main character 1 being from the city and main character 2 giving boring preposition about why they hunt tornados. Clearly, the film makers' lack of attention to detail and general complacency permeated throughout this film. But hey, apparently a lot of people liked it because we have enough morons to enjoy mediocrity to keep Hollywood funded. Oh, second favorite scene: "There's no tornado!" Tornado, literally within half a mile, rips up rodeo. I guess the sound proofing in that motel was made of noise cancelling material and steel.

Boring as fuck. If you like slow burners, then great, this one is for you, but "It Comes at Night" was just uneventful throughout, only eluding to the horror aspect while staying fixed on the melodrama.

Massive waste of time. Extremely repetitive scenery, feux-enlightenment about society, stupid/forgettable characters, and terrible sound design. They really want you to hear every damn chewing sound in this really unsanitary concrete box. If any of you are told by your friends to watch this movie because it "challenges thought" or has a "good message," don't watch it. They're probably morons or pranking you. There REALLY is nothing thought provoking about this movie, there is no deep message that will make the average person walk away with an alternate perspective. And sadly, this movie tries really hard to just do that. There's nothing suspenseful, as mentioned in the other comments, because the characters are boring and extremely dry. It's just a weird, awkward movie made by people who felt like putting out a message of what they think is a problem in society. Other than that, honestly annoying - dialogues between characters try to stimulate more thought, but honestly, it's nothing new or different and really just wasted more time.

Imagine if Michael Bay made an alien invasion movie to copy-cat themes from Cloverfield. That is this movie. Incredibly basic, flashy scenes of explosions and flying light bulbs, terrible plot, and zero character development.
