Loved the book and instantly thought this is going to be a great film after the first couple of minutes. As the film continued, the story from the book diminishes and returns down the story line of the shining (the film), not book. Doctor sleep and the shining books really hooked me in. I'm so disappointed in the films and hope they remake them as a series, keeping to the story line of the books
