Having read and enjoyed many of his other books, I looked forward to Family.
Interesting at times, but, gosh, really? Do we need this book? It reads like a series of humorous Wikipedia articles.
With some glaring mistakes!
Chapter The Earthshaker and The Impotent about the Incas starts with a description of Cuzco as being southwest of Mexico.
Really!!!
I would expect a much better fact check of basic geography from such a distinguished historian.
