If you loved the book, you're going to hate this series. I'm pretty sure the only things they kept are some character names and the premise of a time traveling house. It's watchable, once you get past the fact that they're completely different but if you're like me, you'll spend the whole time pissed that they turned Kirby into the tired trope of whimpering victim in constant need of rescue. Boo.
