Fantastic movie and a welcome addition to the series, although it can be seen independently if you've never seen any of the previous films. I walked in expecting a standard Alien film with the ignorant group of space explorers that has never encountered facehuggers or Xenomorphs, but was surprised and legitimately scared with some of the twists that happened...but I don't want to spoil anything. The acting is legitimate and the special effects are kept to a minimum with CGI only used when necessary. A welcome addition to the series.
