It's cheesy but the cast is pretty solid and there's plenty of teen melodrama to get all up in your feels. The car side of the show suffers from the same cheese factor but they did try to take it semi seriously while dumbing it down for the non-motorhead segment of the audience. There's a dark episode from the past looming over everything the characters are building and the tension builds pretty nicely along the way. Pretty entertaining and the character arcs were pretty solid if somewhat predictable. For me, the casting was the high point so you got your likable types and your hateable types and they all have just enough depth to avoid dragging the whole thing too far down into the weeds of mediocrity. I was entertained, which is about all you can ask...

Good by 2024 standards. Half hour too long. One too many self-referencial jokes about being too long. This one won't hold up to repeat viewing nearly as well as the first two. The stand out was the chick who played professor X twin sister... very sinister and creepy. Must see, but probably only once in a long while

The writing is heavy handed, the jokes are smirk at best wonder why you're watching at worst. The writing talent isn't up to the task of dramedy so they should have picked one or the other although I'm not sure if that would have gone any better. Hate to say it but Melissa Rauch isn't up to the task of carrying a series. Regret wasting any time giving this show a shot.

Unwatchable, even if you worship Kate Beckinsale. Horrific dialog, paper thin plot, and brutal pacing. Total waste of talent.
