I loved this movie! The plot, the character dynamics, the animation, the music, the cast, etc! It was amazing. The only reason why I only rate it 4/5 is because of the ending kiss scene. Don't get me wrong, the romance between the two is super cute, and the two being gay isn't the issue; the movie subtly hints at their relationship throughout the movie without shoving their GAY relationship down the viewer's throats, and remember...THIS MOVIE IS BASED ON A BOOK, which came out years ago, so this movie isn't the woke trying to shove their beliefs in our faces like many people believe it is. My issue is the rating for said scene.
The kiss could've been a straight couple for all I care, and I'd still say the same thing. Pg ratings shouldn't include kiss scenes, especially one as long & "passionate" as the one seen in the movie. And if so, hint at it in the trailer or movie "warnings" Netflix usually gives in the upper left corner.
Anyways, if you have no issue w/ a kissing scene @ the end of the movie, I highly recommend this film! It's beautifully executed, and you can see the hard work & dedication that was put into it.
