I am a voracious reader of all catagories of books and writing style and I have always made the committment to finish the book even if it is not one of my favorites as every book has a redeeming value with the exception of The Passenger. It was all over the place and never completed a thought, the chapters about his sister were tideous to read and what happened to the story line of the missing plane and so many of the other half started and unfinished plot lines.
