This movie was very sloppy to begin with and I am a huge comic book movie fan. James Gunn expect the audience to know about Superman and all of the characters background, including the fortress of solitude.. he gets absolutely zero background about everything I just said.. it is the directors job to let the audience know and make the audience connect with all the characters and the setting and plot. All this movie offers is action and entertainment, and all of the characters were one dimensional. They did not develop at all whatsoever throughout the movie. The action itself was sloppy and corny like a kid movie. This movie is really good if you just go in and turn your brain off and not expect a good story because that’s exactly the way to enjoy it. It is not my job to do research about Superman the characters in the fortress of solitude before the movie. It is the director’s job to do that for the audience. It felt like I was watching a second or third installment of a franchise you were just thrown in with everything already set up, not knowing about anything at all whatsoever. Overall, just a horrible plot, poor character development, and sloppy action. With all this being said, I think the entertainment was decent, but that is absolutely not enough to make it a good mood at all whatsoever.
