The narration starts off with a rather unimpressive voice and character, however the drama unfolds in a very gripping way. I havent read the book but the characters totally do justice to their parts. This film managed to escape out of the "rooster coop " in literal terms as well. It is not about pulling in bigger stars and trying to match them to the characters as happens so stereotypically in Indian Cinema. Its justice to both characters and the actors who have played them specially to Aadarsh Gourav who is the protagonist. The film highlights the mentality of both the upper and lower class in a way that shows how past experiences shape the criminal mindedness and the paths certain people take on their way. Too many gray characters falling in the middle of spectrum of black and white.
Overall, a very compelling storyline, brilliant acting and good direction makes this film a great watch !!
