Poorly written trash that disrespects the superior ideas and lore of Tolkien. Amazon's clown crew writers made changes to the canon, pridefully thinking they could make a version of the Second Age of Middle Earth better than the one that was created by a genius. This fiasco is evident to all, including those who haven't even read the superior story telling of the events from the second age in Tolkien's books. Aside from butchering the lore, the editing, acting, pacing, and poor character building are unacceptable for any company that claims themselves not to be amateur children. Allow this ROP joke to be observed next to the House of the Dragon. HOTD is an example of what happens when good show writers respect the story telling of the genius author they've been assigned to adapt a script from for their television series. Everyone wins. The HBO studio even met their woke quotas, taboot, like Amazon heavy handedly tried to in ROP. But the HOTD writers drew it out from the ACTUAL story, instead of making up stories so they could fit it in, like Amazon did. From casual watcher to avid Tolkien fan, the world will mock this season for years. Amazon's pride brought their own fall.
