The Minamata Incident is a story that needs to be known and told - this was done very movingly and crafted beautifully in this movie. Johnny Depp gets lost in the character and you forget he is JD. You see him as Eugene from the 1970’s! Outstanding cast. It felt very real, raw, sincere and truthful. Masterful storytelling.
The sad thing is - this isn’t just a story. Industrial crimes to people and the environment still happen on a daily basis - Something we should not turn a blind eye on.
That is the whole message of the movie.
