I think Warmth succeeds wonderfully at what it sets out to do: be a gentle companion for emotional healing. It doesn’t try to be a grand epic or push poetic form to extremes. Instead, it offers small moments of recognition and solace. For someone going through a breakup, or trying to move past a painful chapter, this kind of book can feel very valuable and even essential.
If I had to choose one thing to praise most, it would be Singh’s ability to express vulnerability in a non‑showy way. The book’s power comes from honesty. If I had to critique something, it would be to wish for a little more variety in tone and emotional texture — more pieces that shock or unsettle, in order to contrast more strongly with the gentler, hopeful ones.
