Way better than the reviewers are saying, nothing impresses people anymore. This is the best Skyrim experience since Skyrim, it’s not as vast but thoroughly enjoyable in the same way in a tighter map with more deliberate design. Feels like a cross between Skyrim and baldur’s gate 3.

Pacing is fine. Story is interesting. I'm loving the challenges. I don't see where the negativity is coming from. Great game in my opinion 8.5/10 at least.
