I don't generally appreciate films that try to be too metaphorical or arty, but I think this stands the test as a bizarre weird horror movie even without digging into the numerous metaphors and interpretations about modern life which are no doubt deliberate and unavoidable. Some of the imagery is pretty cool and gives a creepy liminal spaces vibe and in some respects it feels like it fits into the cosmic horror genre. Certainly provokes feelings of hopelessness and futility though so maybe don't watch if you're already feeling a bit down!
