Arden McLaughlin

I wanted to like this show. It had early-day Scandal vibes but it's simply too tropey. The only saving grace is Mark Paul. His acting is on point and frighteningly accurate. I can see how his demeanor is likable enough to fool a young, vulnerable child while also being terrifying at his core. The rest of the characters are too played out and need so much therapy that the whole show should be a trigger warning. The backstories are hinted at throughout the series with no actual backstory ever really given to anyone. To me, this show must have AI writing and was a warning to all those on the other side of the picket line about what viewers will get if they don't pay up.
