SPOILERS AHEAD! Pros: - the dinosaur designs were great! They looked sooo cool. - the acting and casting was good, all the characters were likable. - the start genuinely had me on my seat. It nailed the horror feeling. Ok, now for the cons. Cough. Cons: - after the start it just felt like a parody movie posing as a thriller. - the story. Woof. It was bad. At some point this girl is trying to get a boat and there's a carcass right next to her. Then there's a T-Rex. The T-Rex, supposedly hungry, decides to chase the PUNY PEOPLE instead of the perfectly good carcass right there. Also, the fact that it was sleeping says that it was already full. - Around the start a families boat gets flipped by a mosasaurus and then it just swims off? It saw the people on it and decided not to terrorize them? Was it in a hurry? - Some mutants were introduced and then had no purpose to the plot whatsoever. - one of the mutants, the D-Rex, is attracted to light. A guy runs off with a flare and sacrifices himself. It shows him RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DINO. And then 1 minute later he's alive??? How???? I mean first off he coulda just thrown the flare and then left. Second, HOW DID HE LIVE. THE D-REX WAS RIGHT THERE. DID THE D-REX REALIZE IT WAS LATE TO A MEETING WITH THE MOSASAURUS??? Overall a 6/10 rating. Really mid movie, wouldn't recommend watching.
