This is a thinking man’s movie. It moves you on a deeper level if you have lost your loved ones and watched them die. I lost my father then my mother due to a car accident, and this movie brought back all those sad and disturbing memories of losing them. Death is so final and brutal, you just don’t know what it does to you until it happens to you. The utter desolation and emptiness and longing I felt afterwards. Nothing makes you feel better. Time does dull your senses until you watch a movie like this that brings forth those moments instantly and your scars are ripped open and you feel that searing pain once again.
