The balance in this film is beautiful. The humour is subtlety mixed with the heartache. Richard. E. Grant is superb. The scene where he finally shows his emotions whilst out with his father is a real choker. One of my favourite films of all time.

I couldn't watch all of 'Elvis'. It jumped about and applied completely inappropriate music for the genre. Too gimmicky and, dare I say, tedious. I know I'm in the minority on this. I like Elvis the singer and I like a biopic (Johnny Cash, Freddie Mercury, Jerry Lee Lewis etc) but this is a wasted opportunity to capture the enigma and tell the story of an icon. Pretentious, dull and boring.

I absolutely adore this film. Ok I know the historical accuracy is very questionable but the film is utterly compelling and beautifully made. Mel Gibson is an underrated actor who conveys emotion with his facial features like no one else in my opinion. I don't think any review of 'Braveheart' could be fair without mentioning the score. Written and conducted by the late James Horner, it is spellbinding. Each piece captures the feel of the scene and is moving, rich and beautiful. Easily my favourite film score ever.

So atmospheric and creepy. Having read the book many times too it's testament to the film that it's so good. Jack Nicholson's acting is absolutely superb and very disturbing.

My favourite film ever. Quotable lines galore, great storyline (forget the sequels). Christopher Lambert gives a perfectly enigmatic performance with a supporting cast including Sean Connery as a dandy Spaniard and Clancy Brown as the bad guy, and boy is he well cast! Last but not least are the songs by Queen. Written for the film are a collection of 5 superb songs which fit the mood perfectly.
