My Mum loved Elvis when she was a very young girl. I agreed to take her to see the film and my partner and 20 year old daughter made it a family affair. We all enjoyed. My daughter hadn't understood this man's influence on black music and I think that could have been explored more. Overall, though, I think the film captured the excitement felt by a generation of this new type of music and the sadness of a unique person exploited to destruction. A good film in my opinion.
