recently started watching the original 1970s series, and I've come to a conclusion: the new remake is far superior at least ten times better. The original lacked character development and left out key plot details, like how Helen stopped dating Richard before falling in love with and eventually marrying Harriet. The remake fills in so many of the gaps the original left unexplained, making the story much more engaging and coherent.
