Racism in America did not begin with the horrific enslavement of African American. It indeed was grounds for the invasion by British who annihilated Native Americans: people of color. The "birth" of this country began in a land that was already inhabited?! Slavery was a continuation of white supremacy. Racism has, does n unfortunately remains in this country and to skirt or deny the issue is to continue it unchecked.
