Ramen Ruby

This show has some major issues with the writing. The actors are exemplary and well casted. They have great chemistry and I watched to see more of them bring me a believable villain, hero or anti-hero. My problem is that after second season it got really lazy. Trying to get the characters to be like the comic book characters was a mistake. Imo, they should’ve embraced giving us the prologue version of Gotham. In some ways this show succeeded but in many ways, it confused us with what it wanted to be. It was so lazy in killing characters and reviving them. Dr. Strange has no depth other than reviving characters. Untied ends with several of the villains that turned out to just be goons instead of developed characters. And the actress chosen to replace Selina in the last episode...just no. Selena has big, beautiful eyes and curves. That was just, no. And her hair looked like a bad hooker wig. Did not do her character justice at all. The actress had no presence. I would’ve loved to see a short, dark haired, Selina. Sexy and confident. I’m a female so I’m not trying to be inappropriate. It’s just confusing to spend so much money making a show, people investing their career into this, just for it to be lazy at the end. And that whole situation with Ivy. We never needed that character. It was butchered. You should’ve just left her as a child. She constantly seduced at child Bruce anyway, so what was the point? Weird. But, okay. Selina is sexy? Why can’t Ivy be without that terrible writing? Hope I made my point without sounding weird lol I’m a 23 year old straight woman I’m just saying. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Overall, I enjoyed the references to these characters. The actors were amazing!
