Overall, the movie was a super fun time. It didn't rock my world or anything, and there are definitely a few parts where the pacing fell flat, but I'd still recommend it. The references and in-jokes are omnipresent, but they rarely felt overbearing, mostly coming off as fun easter eggs for whatever games you've personally played. It's fun to watch, and that's all it really needed to be.
One... sort of odd complaint I have? There is not a single Toadette in the entire film. Like, at all. Not a film-ruining thing, I was just surprised by it.
