Possible spoiler... The most unlikeable characters i have ever suffered thru. I listened to this audiobook and it was just whinging for 22 hours straight. Also the guy who read it made everyone sound more annoying, especially the female characters! The only person I liked in the whole book was Hugo. I HATED the characters of Susanna and Leon. I am a strong feminist who believes adamantly in victims rights, but Susanna's bitter retelling of her victimization went on for HOURS. Like the author had to beat into our heads how horribly victimizing it is to be a woman. Like. We know already. And the self-righteousness. He fondled you and made you feel threatened and uncomfortable so you STAYED IN TOWN AND GAVE UP YOUR CAREER BECAUSE HE SAID HE MIGHT COME VISIT YOU!? Collect evidence, get witnesses, get a restraining order! Like murder is your only option? Millions of women are SA'd including myself and we don't go around murdering people. I felt like this was meant to be really 'eye opening' to the bullying and SA that women and LGBTQA+ people go thru but it came off as unrelatable and insulting.
