This is the first movie review my girlfriend and I have ever written. We expected to walk into a heartwarming dog movie full of laughs. Boy were we wrong. Not even 5 minutes into the movie my girlfriend was hysterically crying and we were both filled with disgust. 10 minutes in, we considered leaving but figured it couldn’t get any worse. Again, wrong. The trailer to this movie never alludes to the fact that the ENTIRE plot line is based on animal abuse and abandonment. As if the vulgarity and provocative nature of this film wasn’t enough, the main character (dog) relentlessly tries to return home to his abusive owner, who he idolizes as a wonderful human. The scene at the end, where the owner tries to kill his dog with a baseball bat, was the very last straw for us. We were shocked and disgusted that this was made into a mockery through the use of cruel jokes and despicable behavior. Shame on Hollywood and everyone involved in this film.
