Best way to describe this movie is a bubblegum horror movie pretending to be a sci-fi classic. The ACTUAL aliens were not even the focus of this movie, and like a bubblegum horror, characters did the total opposite of what they should have done with a bit of common sense. You got told what would happen but you did the exact opposite. Weak plot, weak characters and too many lines stolen from previous franchises. And don't get me started on that horrendous looking mutant in the final part of the movie....blerghhhhhhhhhhh, even the 'normal' aliens looked unrealistic. 0/5

There are so many intrperetations of the Godzilla story, Shin Godzilla, Godzilla Singular Point, Godzilla Planet of Monsters, Godzilla vs Kong etc. You learn very quickly that each story needs to be watched without expectation. This series is no different, starts off slow but so far it's been good. Godzilla makes several appearances so far but waiting to see how it all ties together.

More like 3.5 out of 5. Visually spectacular, but spoiled by silly moments like Kong communicating in sign language and knocking back his dislocated shoulder in another scene. Felt a bit rushed in parts, the plot almost felt like it was a 60 minute pilot smashed into a 90 minute + movie. It might be a good or bad thing but you knew what the tone for the rest of the movie was going to be within the first fifteen minutes. As a Godzilla movie that is trying to find it's place in the Godzillaverse this is a flop, as a one off Godzilla vs Kong movie it's....meh! Not memorable but a good waste of my afternoon kind of movie. Visually spectacular no substance....

Great movie, Beyoncé as Nala was a terrible choice otherwise it was a visual extravaganza.
