This game is objectively much worse than UFC 4. The striking is abysmal. It feels like they actually buffed elbows and spammy ways of playing so beginners can do better while making basic strikes harder and more awkward for experienced players. Fighters models are very hit and miss. Some look slightly better while others look terrible and just uninformed (They gave sterling a beard??). Career mode is much less immersive because you don’t get to see your fighter walk out to the ring and the announcer does say your record, weight, hometown (both were in UFC 4 so they have the audio this is just pure laziness). I will say literally the only thing this game has made any improvement on from the last game is the online career. It’s a nice new feature that just provides something different from online play. But overall I’m ashamed that I spent my money on this and I thank my lucky stars I didn’t buy the deluxe edition. If you are new to the franchise and want a smooth and immersive experience I would say get UFC 4. At this point the only reason to buy 5 is because they will probably be adding more fighters as they become bigger stars in the sport and will keep up to date with current champions but it’s not worth it imo
