It was a decent movie. I have two grips with this movie though. First was the synopsis. I get that the actress playing the main character is trans but nothing in the movie even remotely pointed to her being a trans women in the movie. It was unnnessicary to mention. If they wanted to implement the trans route, the could have made vampirism of this film effect genders differently and show that even though she is trans it still effect her like she is any other woman. Ultimately I don't think the director was out to villiafy trans people so he could have gone this route to make sense, mentioning that the main character is trans.
My second grip is the feminist Vampires. Feminist does not equal hating on men. I think the film should have leaned more on Duke and her trauma and made the fact that she was glamouring all the girls in the group more of an issue. Cause that would make sense into the radical way they were acting and still be considered a feminist group. Her traumatization on being controlled by a man for decades would make her act out on a hate on men crusade and keep female Vampires from making anymore male Vampires. Other than these two points, it was a decent enough movie.
