I couldn’t put this book down. It is a cautionary tale - both for professional women and for us as a society about the devastating impact platforms like FB have had on our world. I applaud the author’s courage in sharing her vulnerability and naivety. It’s shocking to read about the decisions the author made and continued to make…it’s easy to find fault with her character, but harder to understand and acknowledge the deeply unhealthy corporate and social norms that demand subservience and abject devotion. If the only thing you get from this book is a sense of disappointment or disgust at the author’s decisions, you’re missing the point.
