Remake displayed lack of warmth sincerity and heart. The remake with Sidney Poitier is untouchable. You can almost feel the anger, sadness and frustration with his life; his love for his family. Choice of actors for the remake was poor. Sometimes great movies should be left to their own devices—let the audience find their own way into the heart of a movie/story.
