This movie was an absolute nightmare, a grotesque old man’s fantasy being played out under the guise of artistic screenplay. I’m disappointed to see Emma Stone in this role. This was sickening.

The first 5 seasons are some of the best tv in history - the dialogue, the casting, the attention to detail in cinematography and sets - the way you grow up with the characters is truly magical. It’s absolutely one of the best shows of all time. That being said, season 6-8 (when the writers take over) is a most impressive display of how arrogance can destroy even the most successful shows. There’s a reason the final seasons are seen as a joke and meme, because the writers truly destroyed every single storyline. They rushed through it to get it over with so they could go work on a Disney project, they took liberties they shouldn’t have and it’s just a disappointing train wreck. They ruined the best show.

I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed worse acting, costume design, script, casting or CGI in a show. Not a single soul wanted another live-action atrocity but here we are. This was ROUGH to sit through without laughing, to say the least.

The liberties this adaptation takes from the books is a poorly executed reach of power. Almost everything is different and for the worse, at the new “writers” interpretation. The story suffers greatly, time-jumps, inconsistent character arcs and development, with completely fabricated events. Changing selective actors 5 episodes in is a good testament to the horror that comes from the last few episodes. It’s probably better than like, Parks and Rec, but this is a far vision from the masterpiece that was the original Game of Thrones.

Was really looking forward to this movie, and it had so much potential. It's impressive how bad it actually was. The directing and screenplay was so jarring, it felt like their first movie. Scenes didn't flow or make sense, the story-telling was so flat. Acting came up awkwardly short several times. The annoyingly selective translations didn't give the movie anything except more confusion. Just so very mid.

“The reviews can’t be THAT bad, it’s got such a big cast! Let’s give it a shot.” Nope. All of the negative reviews are justified. This movie was a joke. All of that needless build-up and overdone cinematography for a flat and useless ending. It’s like someone speed ran disaster movies and picked up every cliche possible, threw in some racist narratives and called it a day. The script was atrocious, I can’t believe such big actors took it laying down, embarrassing to have this on your resume. There was zero actor synergy. It feels like AI. Good freaking luck, if you try to sit through this. Nothing ever happens.

Eddie tried to carry the movie best he could but I gotta agree with the other reviews: this script feels like it was AI generated and it’s absolutely dogsht.

An absolutely dishonest, uneducated take with cherry-picked history that leaves out the majority of how our country came to be what it is today. An attempt from privileged people to insight further violence in an already hostile society - how shallow and disappointing.

So unbelievably cringey. How was this so highly rated? The acting is atrocious; dialogue is flat. I feel dirty after watching it, it was so bad. It makes sense that Netflix sent bots to spam the reviews.

I don’t know if they wanted to capitalize on the sexualizing of kids or are just genuinely terrible at writing horror movies, but this was a disgrace to the genre The acting was atrocious, the script was comical - unless their intention was for me to bust out laughing - the atmosphere and weird alien-Esque soundtrack was so out of touch. There is ONE two-second frame that made you do a double take but other than that, this movie tries to play on the space but ends up falling on its face. Wish I’d never watched this, and you will too.
