if you're looking for something bold, super funny and comments on few key social norms and issues in Malaysia? This is the absolute perfect film to watch! Firstly, the direction is top-notch, it would be an understatement to say it was funny. Mmg lawak giler. The writing and the directing really make it fun to watch, especially since the topic they address is so taboo and some would say, heavy? I think for what it is, it does a pretty good job of covering the bases they want to cover when it comes to stuff like sexism and conservatives interpretations of Islam, especially in places like Malaysia. Last but not least, the actors do a great job of making their characters real, and also delivering their very humorous lines. Good job team! :) When it comes to it's execution of super heavy topics like domestic abuse and influence, like we see in Tok Hassan - I think they addressed it with care and the seriousness it needed. Even though this is a comedy, they do not treat the heart-wrenching, dark moments lightly and I really appreciate that as a viewer. It really works
