This is a well meaning, end of times thriller which relies heavily on loud noises /dramatic music/ jump scares while entangling a few preachy moments. Does not go into detail as to why things are happening other than it's something to do with the rapture story in the Bible and if one was truly right with God to begin with they would not be living through this horror. I applaud the movie makers for taking a more aggressive, edgy approach with the film as compared to the traditional G rated / Disney themed-non-realistic Christian films massed produced by Christian movie makers. This film actually contains some violence, scary biblical themes and intense scenes. Still hard to believe with people dropping dead and the world coming to an end that no one would slip up and occasionally use profanity, or violently turn against their fellow man. If Christian filmmakers really want to spread the Word to non believers they must make more realistic films, and in the real world there is violence, death, hatred, abuse, profanity, drug use, etc... This movie, while worth watching, comes across as yet another "preaching to the choir" religious film with a few scary elements. But considering "the choir" (average church) is made up of mostly fake Christians living for the world who most likely will not be called upon during a real rapture, maybe this film will have an impact on someone and encourage them to make a change for the better.
