Nice filming location and thoughtful production design but it was so uncomfortable to watch couples having to eat more snacks and drink even after being so stuffed from a heavy dinner which had no portion control.
A meal for two looked like a meal for 4.
Also some of the drink pairings by that "oh-so-famous-gorgeous" female actress were not really thought well - peach flavoured alcohol with red meat?!
"Chef Teo" has got to loosen up, you're not cooking for a Michelin star restaurant. Even with a handsome face, he was hard to watch.
Ahjussi Tak and Se-Yoon were a hit or miss depending on the episode.
FFS Kai could tone down his smarty pants demeanour a notch.
The celebrity part timers who briefly showed up were great though, especially the super helpful and talented Ryoo Deok Hwan.
In addition, having celebrities watching in anticipation, in close proximity, for a sign of appreciation, admiration and stroking of egos at their attempts at cooking is stifling.
I guess this is the show's concept but obviously the writers and producers did not think through thoroughly.
This is not as refined as Youn's Kitchen or Youn's Stay ie. Every episode was engaging, interactions between Casts and Guests were natural, AMPLE serving of food, lovely food-drink pairings and visuals, which were all delivered for a great entertainment experience.
Definitely not the same experience for Honeymoon Tavern.
