Unwatchable. Nothing in this movie makes any sense at all. It's infuriating. And the excellent cast can't do a thing to help it.

Thus series brought into high relief something that had been hidden, namely Burns' gauzy Americana and its shallow superficial refusal to address anything as difficult as racist, warmongering, and genocide. I liked Burns up til now but this series forced me to reevaluate his entire body of work and philosophy of national narrative. The series is therefore both tedious and corrupting. It was a bad mistake.

This is a masterpiece. I watch it once a year-- New Year's Eve. This is as tightly woven as a film can be. Seamless. This, despite its sprawling story and shifts in tone and style. Some critics has pointed out that this is essentially a 1930s film set in the 1950s. That's fine with me. This is a perfect movie.

UN- watchable. No, really. Un-watchable.

If this is science fiction, bring me fantasy. If this is fantasy, bring me science fiction...

This is a weirdly tedious cartoon.

This is dreadful. The script and acting is so wooden it feels like a community theater version of some Oscar Wilde trivia. None of the cast is up to this. Even the usually amazing Carrie Coon can't deliever these lines.

"Underwater" begins as an "Alien" re-warming, but morphs into more of a "Gravity" re-boot. But while"Gravity" was suffocatingly tense, this is stultifyingly boring. There is not a single novel idea anywhere to be found in it. Its imaginative title gives us all the warning we should need. It might as well have been titled "Moisture."
