What a wonderful film! For me it was a 5-tissue movie, for my husband 3, for my son 8!!! It made us laugh, it made us cry, it made us think… Great script, great acting, impeccable direction. The plight of foster children, and those who can’t get fostered, was depicted beautifully. So moving that the three children in the story find a warm and loving home. Highly recommended (but keep the box of tissues on hand!).

Wonderful. Watched this for the third time, and it’s as powerful and moving as ever. This time round, was really struck by the redemption of Walt, the protagonist (played by Eastwood). Laugh-out-loud funny in many scenes, moving in others. Great acting from everyone. Cried at the ending. A masterpiece.

Don’t understand the negative reviews on IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic - we love this movie! Classic story arc, humour, action… brilliant. Love the story, acting, special effects. Highly recommended for people who want a fun, gripping action movie.

Haven’t watched something with such a ludicrous plot for a long time. Saved from being utter rubbish only by the good actors (who nonetheless struggled with the dreadful plot). Let’s hope they were paid embarrassment money…

Great fun! Real chemistry between the two leads. Wonderfully empowered female lead. Humour. Can’t think why the critics are being sniffy. Highly recommended for truly light entertainment!
