Great movie man. THIS is a mutant movie. The whole time while I was watching it I was thinking what if the two government agencies were racing against one another not to blow up an american city but to apprehend mutants. Racing to catch mutants. Oh god no... I just watched the ending and now I know why everyone hated it... It was all a dream... Nooooooo.

I thought Dark Phoenix was pretty good. I thought it was a well made movie that never made me feel stupid or intellectually inferior. This movie (unlike most comic book based moives) never asked me to push my imagination to its utter limits and this movie never asked me to make excuses for anything unrealistic or impossible. It was a good movie. I think it could've been the first installment of a really good series. I like what was accomplished here with the people who made this movie and I think if this same team had another chance to go further on the foundation they've made with this movie we might see something more thats just as good if not better. The acting was great. The plot was plausible and effectively carried out. I enjoyed it even I had absolutely no expectations for it- none and I think that is the reason why everyone is dumping on it so hard because we all have this idea of what the movie should be instead of just enjoying the movie as it is for what its worth. As far as movies go (regardless of genre) it was a good movie. I learned a lot from this movie and Ill use this as a blueprint for my own movies.
