Loved it. It’s not light. There are disturbing episodes of a man trying to manage a devastating circumstance while in the throes of addiction, and the underbelly of society. Cumberbach is a brilliant flawed character.Gaby Hoffman is the horrified mother whose child is missing and whose husband is on a bender that has taken him into hallucinations and out of any supportive role to her. McKinley Belcher is the dogged and determined cop facing multiple barriers to doin the right thing. His understated role powerfully played, reflects the period of the story.
I took this series in over several sittings because it is about serious and disturbing events. But it is a story told in powerful ways and well worth your time. Kudos to the teams that produced this.
