Was this suppose to be a story anyone was going to be proud to tell? I guess I’m just still missing the point on why this was a story anyone thought would need to be told to the world… I mean, my god, a single family single handedly taking down two kings & entire country w/ their greedy antics? Lol.. && I can just see the Christian mobs coming now… ‘this is what happens when greed, lust, sodomy, gluttony, & whatever else takes hold’…. It’s just not a storyline arc that we even have enough fact to tell, & really not one that needs to be e told in this light. The costumes were cheap, the poor queen of England walking around looking like she’s wearing a Friday night drag ‘Queen’ costume… Literally NO pun intended, the costumes were just that cheap… There were parts o wondered if the cackling fire behind them was literally a green screen which was kind of sad as I feel period pieces deserve better than the likes of works like this or ‘the great’, everyone likes so much, I know… I also wish if they were going to do period pieces, they’d stay in that period… How is it a period piece when the writing, music, & everything is all from the future??? Idk… I just feel like Hollyweird needs to stop trying SO hard to make hay sex mainstream for one thing, even regular sex is only just barely gaining acceptance in the mainstream… This isn’t a demographic that’s reaching 80% of the men out there… Try watching anything with constant gay s*x scenes with the hubby, lol he’s just going to cringe & turn it off or walk away… && As I stated above, if you’re trying to make ‘gay’ mainstream, maybe don’t start with the fictional retelling of a story of how a bisexual mama’s boy single handedly divided a country, brought down not one but two kings, & in doing so an entire national monarchy, w/ his greed, gay lover boy antics, narcissism, & love of self…
