I absolutely love and adore Elizabeth Moss's acting .. this one character "Shirley" was, to me shockingly surprising to see her play. (Moss even with makeup looked too young to be play Shirley -but damn she did a hell of a job) If you know anything about what this movie is based on- you would know/ get why there are not really "endings" to the many different story lines....I am so interested in "true" life psychological themes. So this movie was up my alley. I have read Shirley long ago and if I didn't a thing about the book or screen play, then I would have really enjoyed the movie more ...but the book is excellent! Not 5 stars only bc I know about Shirley and some of her life and the movie basically touched on what we call mental illnesse today .... If you like thrillers please find her writings
