It's Oct. 2025 and I've just watched this film on Roku, and, for the first time. I enjoyed it; kept me watching through to the end. A good "hook" beginning, a decent script, good actors, good production value and a well-done, artistic score. As for the special effects, they were really, really good. Fantastic by 2003 standards and, frankly, I've seen way worse than this today. The only criticism is in the title. Whatever studio bonehead thought that one up totally missed the whole vibe of the film and would have confused audiences or worse yet, possibly prevented some from going to see it. This is a nice little Sci-Fi flick that this Sci-Fi nerd chick recommends. 3.5 stars from me.
