Watched "Chamkila" & I can say only one thing.. THIS IS CALLED A CINEMA.. After such a long long time I have seen a movie which has moved me to no end.. to no end. Imtiaz Ali u have done a splendid work in this & only u could have done this & I'm being truthfully honest abt it. Though I am saddened by seeing the end of "Chamkila" but at the same time elated by the way this movie is made. Dialogues, screen play, transitions, music & what not, everything is dealt beautifully. Diljit Dosanjh is one of the finest actor we have. He has absolutely nailed the performance. It's just beyond par excellence👏💯 In the movie Diljit Dosanjh is Chamkila & Chamkila is Diljit. There couldn't have been anyone else to play this role, Diljit literally lived this role. The face of Chamkila enacted by him is running in front of my eyes. One incident, which happened with me, truly justifies how his performence in the movie has affected us. After getting moved by Diljit's performance my husband started reading about him on Google. There he got to know that he has an obsession of collecting shoes. While discussing about it with me my husband said I understand why he collects shoes, cause he was a cha**ar (shoe maker) na, and he suddenly realised that he was talking about Diljit's obsession not Chamkila's. One literally can't differentiate between who is Chamkila and who is Diljit. I am sorry for not talking about other actors too. Yes all of them have done a splendid job but I just can't stop talking about Diljit. It's a must watch. It's a masterpiece. One regret that it didn't see the theatre. It should have. It deserved a theatrical release.
