It had a good start..the start kept me invested. An abduction usually does but Isn't at all what this movie is about. As the story progresses it gets a bit more convoluted because something else happens and the direction changes. There's a full blown police investigation to uncover the new crime whilst the 'old one' and its victim gets ignored. Its an information laden thriller with lots of police terminology and a character that plays a role even though they don't appear. Pay attention or you'll miss it! There isn't a happy ending because there's no real justice but the acting is superb. The atmosphere is gripping. In the end an innocent man gets failed by the justice system twice, whereas the person who should be in jail isn't because he has a big reputation..It also shows how a crooked justice system and a blind lust for revenge disintegrated an otherwise genuine friendship between 3 men. One was a victim the other a madman and the third a bystander. I really wish there was a part 2 ...it deserved a part 2 at least for the ending alone! "It's a harsh world..a harsh world indeed"
