An American Pickle is a surprisingly touching film about the importance of remembering and honoring one's family. Although the film isn't the hilariously, side splitting, laugh fest that you would expect from Seth Rogen and co. there are still enough chuckles and gags sprinkled throughout that remind you it is, indeed, a Seth Rogen film. Between the jokes and the welcomed emotional ride An American Pickle is exactly what it needs to be, an easily digestible, pleasant movie viewing experience the whole family can enjoy.
