The entire show seemed to be scripted. It felt like a narrative for racist, single and gay parents which do not make up the majority of the country. I did not see the emphasis on god in the family nor basic values that bring a family together. Values that teach boys to be men and girls to be women. Yes there was love and caring for each other but I felt like it promotes selfishness. I figured out who they wanted to win in the first couple episodes. To me a single mother that is pregnant and her child is adopted does not promote family and parents. There are roles as a parent you have to take on leader, consultant, disciplinarian, educator, caretaker, moral compass and guider. Then you have to prepare them For life and as the children get into the teenage years and olde thou transition into a friend an advisor. While still keeping the parent role. Some of the parents touched on these but none portrays all and the fact that it felt scripted makes the entire show feel to me Like it is pushing a narrative to break down the family as a whole. I won’t be watching this again.
