Musical Architecture

I enjoyed this film a lot. The more bipolar the reviews the better in my experience and you can see how many 5* and 1* reviews this has. Overall. Its another very strong film for Robert Eggers'. I agree with some of the other reviewers that it isn’t what you’d call a ‘masterpiece’ (though the fact we are holding it to this bar says s a lot about the baseline quality of this movie). I find some of the reviews here funny. Some were expected a Viking 300… lol. I loved that this wasn’t a cut of the mill revenge tale where the protagonist simply contrives a complex plan but that the story was tinged with mysticism and blurred the boundaries with reality. For me it’s 4 stars (I’ve rated it 5 to counterbalance the ridiculous one star reviews).
