The biggest problem with the entire show nobody saw was 'A Central Character to root for.' At least for me. In the first scene of the first season, Joe's cruising car kills an Armadillo, and casually looks at it as just another dumb animal that got in his way. Of course, no one will root for him afterwards even if he is a visionary or not. Gordon doesn't like to be out of his comfort zone, a major flaw, which I disliked a lot. Cameron and Donna were the real deal. Again, the show never shown them winning in the long run. So, why would any entertainment looking masses will hook into it as they have not a single protagonist to root and thus, care for. Finally, a show about computer tech transforming the world never shown any real thing. Cardiff like small company outsmarting the big guys - David Vs Goliath like theme. So, by the fourth season, all the fire went out in a Puff of smoke! No more stuff that the command HCF could destroy.
