Fake propaganda movie
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the upcoming movie "Hamare Baarah," directed by Kamal Chandra, which is scheduled for release on June 7, 2024, in the UK.
As a member of the Muslim community, I find that this movie portrays our community in a highly offensive and defamatory manner. Specifically, the film suggests that the Muslim community encourages having more children. This portrayal is not only misleading but also perpetuates harmful stereotypes about Muslims.
Furthermore, the film disrespects the Quran by misinterpreting and manipulating its verses. It includes a reference to an ayah where it is stated, "Allah said in Quran women is your farm; enter your farm as you wanna enter and do farming." The context of this ayah is significantly different, and its misrepresentation in the movie is highly disrespectful and misleading.
Such depictions are not only offensive but also have the potential to incite hatred and division within society. I urge the CBFC to review the content of "Hamare Baarah" and take appropriate action to halt its production and release until these issues are adequately addressed.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. I trust that the CBFC will take the necessary steps to ensure that films promoting harmful stereotypes and disrespecting religious texts are not approved for public viewing.
