The movie has its moments, but not many; however for those paying attention in order to spot signs of blatant or covert racism rather, it managed to point out how colorism and the white savior complex has managed to undermine and constantly endanger the black community is a whole. As a fan of horror movies throughout the decades, I have seen a number of movies created by black directors, writers and actors that proved to be far more effective both in terms of humor and horror; however there is a possibility that if further thought was given to the movie's plot development, it might actually become as a successful franchise similar to "The Evil Dead ".
